Despatched a cheque to SSF on March 22, 2020, for Rs 14,900/-. Classes yet to start due to COVID. More information will be given in due course. When the women in the slum have learned, the machine could be used both for taking the training further afield into other slums or for setting up a small tailoring shop inside the slum, as an income generating scheme.

Ramgari Slum has 40 + families and exists by the side of a nallah in Civil Lines, Nagpur.
The Untouchables in collaboration with Stepping Stone has arranged sports items for the children and youth as part of its first project after coming into existence. Now we plan a project which would allow the women to earn some money for their families by learning simple tailoring.
NEED: One time expense of Rs 5,900/-. Subsequently: Rs 2,000/- per month for 4 months for a teacher.
A tailoring class is planned for at least 6-8 women. A sewing machine, sewing kit items and a floor mat will cost Rs.5,900/-. A Teacher is required for 4 months @Rs 2,000/- per month [total of Rs 8000/-].
