SCOUT: Maria : PLACE: Bangalore
Maria our Scout bid farewell to her 14 year old companion, Cocoa, in October. She has contact with many of the street urchins in and around Amruthahally Police Station and she is ‘Akka’ to them. She also has a set of stray dogs spread over a 2 km route in the same area she feeds biscuits to on a daily basis- we are sure they call her akka too. TU has decided to give them a small ‘party’ this Christmas in memory of Cocoa. Besides goodies to eat, she wishes to give the children colour pencils/crayons, and a small note pad to encourage their artistic talents and creative skills. The stray dogs will be compensated with some mouthwatering delicacies according to their taste!
